The first landmark which is off, is his pronounced forward lean of his trunk throughout his gait cycle.
A pronounced forward lean throughout the gait cycle is bad (despite what the many misinformed YouTube running form "coaches" profess), as it is very metabolically costly.
The trunk/torso should be as erect as possible during gait save for a brief moment after foot-release when a slightly forward lean may be present momentarily as the limbs & lumbar spine release stored elastic energy and begin cycling through and repositioning.
Human evolution was influenced in large part by upgrades to our gait, which was the result of moving away from a forward lean of the spine (being in a quadruped) position to an erect position. This evolution changed our relationship with gravity and allowed us to better leverage elastic mechanics and save calories while increasing locomotion speeds and durations.
We know a forward leaning spine/trunk is not advantageous in bipedal gait as chimpanzee locomotion involves a pronounced trunk lean and carries a significantly higher metabolic cost than human gait.
Second, Ingebrigtsen does not achieve that high of thigh flexion on his swing legs. This creates a shorter stride length, meaning more steps, and more work performed.
Thirdly, Ingebrigtsen shank recovery of swing shank is shallow after foot-release, which is another indicator of a severely dampened (or near non-existent) elastic influence.
Even though some many not agree with my suspicion, it exists (and I've presented it for discussion) b/c there are, not just one, but several important mechanical markers which are too far off for the level of ability he is displaying.
I appreciate and respect the perspectives of complexities and individualities regarding the human body, as well as the influences training and adaption have on unique bodies, but in situations when multiple mechanical markers are "off," years of experience in this sport has taught me, a degree of skepticism is well placed
