Because RAK half marathon is cancelled I’m taking one week very easy with only some jogging to recover fully.
The preparation is what takes a lot out of the body. The race takes some mental energy but physically it’s not that demanding. That’s why I’m resting now. If I’ve learnt something over the years, you can’t push and push every time every day for the whole year. We were doing some very specific and demanding training over the last few weeks, and now that there is no race anytime soon, we need to step back a little.
